Button has basically done nothing since the Monaco race. I am sure he his not happy with the way he is closing out this championship, but he will take it.

Any interest in pulling together an E60 trip to next year's Canadian GP (assuming it's confirmed)?

Better yet, if F1 and Tony George come to their respective senses maybe we can arrange a trip to the US GP when it gets back on the calendar...
I would possibly go. Montreal was fun for the '08 f1.

Hopefully Button will get taken out first corner. It will make things interesting. Why does this year not feel like a real championship?

I think it is a great fit. He should be a championship favorite every season. Looking forward to the Alonso vs Hamilton battles. Back to Mclaren vs Ferrari, this year was just boring as hell.
can never please everyone. When MS was winning many people got on the bandwagon claiming the sport was boring to see one man wrap up all the winnings time after time. So the sport had a knee jerk reaction and started meddling with the rules. Groove tyres, fueling, no change of tyre per race day, Points scoring changed, traction control brought in, no weaving, no blocking, no defensive driving, ... etc. Anything to make the slow drivers challenge MS was put in place.

Today those who complained about MS winning all the time have the current BORING races to contend with. I have stopped watching F1. There are far better motor sports that still contain the excitement that F1 once had. I wont bother to watch F1 till things change dramatically and head back towards the good ol days when racing was racing and not a bloody procession of cars going round and round.

Qualifying is the same. Whats the point of trying to go for pole with a varying fuel load and then having to work backwards in the evening who MIGHT have been on pole after calculated loads put in order. Its HEARSAY. Anything could have happened and today we will never know which driver/car is the best of the field. A force india chasing a ferrari? Its like saying a half rate team like Minardi can win the championship. Next it will be team malaysia (lotus) that will be winning.

Here is my point. Its no more about being the best to win but a lottery. Pull the win out of a hat.. its the same damn thing.

As for jenson,... talk about sheer luck. zero skill, big phat mouth on him (remember he claimed to be the greatest driver when things were going his way.. ie the car) and it took him years to claim his first win. Sadly we will have another unworthy champion for 2009 if his luck keeps going.

can't wait for alonso to be in the ferrari. When MS left, deep down inside, I knew the next best driver for ferrari would have been Alonso. But ego bruising from the 2006 season made me go with kimi. Kimi despite being born a fast driver just lacked work ethics. Good luck to him where ever he goes now.

In any case, if alonso was in ferrari for 2007 and 2008, he most likely would have wrapped up the championship.

cheers.

ps: Sorry if what I said about Jenson or kimi may cause some hurt. its just my opinion of it.
