Well I called in and the ticket is $105. Not too bad considering what could have happened. The one thing I have trouble with in the car is that it is so smooth and quiet that you don't realize that you are up to 80. Time to reset my speed warning.

Well, 55 feels like standing still in a E60.
I'm glad that you didn't loose your license.
$105 is no more than a full tank of gas overhere!
You should drive to Utah, I understand that they have freeways there with no speed limits.
Otherwise, take a trip to Germany and rent a 550i.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
I know the feeling, and unfortunately, the last two I have gotten were dopey tix IN TOWN, going UPHILL (same hill too). My 540 iS 6 spd was a lot more tactile than this car; or maybe, I haven't grown accustomed to the insulation of this one yet. Whichever, I have to be careful and the "quiet" snowtires and new Valetine 1 are being installed "as we speak."
Does anyone else find their accelerator pedal rather numb? I'm having a difficult time adjusting to the pedals of this car--both the narrower footwell encroaching on the clutch, and the numbness of the accel. The shift of the torque band is another story...
"Be careful out there."
