To be fair, you need to squeeze a UK, GB, or Eng in there somewhere - we English are confused by our own identity!

Its called GREAT Britain and don't let anyone tell you any different

Timing of Munich Meet

To be honest, we can still have some snow in first days of April, but on the other hand we will be on the motorway all the way through, so summer sets should be already OK for that time, right?
Or, 18-19 April perhaps sounds a bit better? 5-star Hilton is still at 89 EUR for that wknd
But generally, as for me and my Mrs - we're up for any weekend in April so far (no missions planned after February yet)

Late March can be in issue with bad weather -- you tend to get a last burst around that time. Not sure if April would still be an issue. By mid-April onwards its definitely Summer Tire season again.

Because we are travelling such long distances, its probably not worth taking the risk. More importantly we want our BMs to look their best on their summer rims!

So as luxembourg wrote above, should we target the 18-19 April weekend??
Any objections??

OK it's definetely fun to search for a new vehicle
This one saphirschwarz E61 beauty may have some downsides (still 4 cyl 520d, manual, and most of all: not LCI yet), BUT (and it is a significant "but" ) the rest is surprisingly amazing (Nasca leather ventilated comfort seats, head-up with Nav Pro, night vision, L7, soft-close, BIG glass-sunroof, garage remote - just to name a few) + production 2007 and 7700km on the clock, out of Premium Selection...

Definitely worth some interest at that price, don't you think Pete?

take a look:

I'll buy your 520dA for 25k... deal?

I am looking for a (Carbon) Black 530dA M-Sport for somewhere between 25-30k euros. You can get crazy crazy deals at the moment. I saw a car like the one Jarek posted -- thanks by the way! -- and it had a 5k euro discount on it! I have actually found one already very close to me and test drove it last weekend... and since then the price has already gone down 2k euros!!!! With it being year end and targets having to be met, the financial crisis hitting the car trade and me just going to buy the car out right (i.e. no financing or trade in), I'm in a pretty good negotiating position

The only issue is that there are tons of E61s and not many E60s. Not a big issue, but I would prefer another E60. That said, it would be something different and I can probably get a better deal on an E61... and I do love those Panorama Glass Roofs on the E61 They are also much cheaper to insure. Unfortunately the 530d costs a lot to tax compared to the 520d or the petrol versions, but hey, that's just the way it is

Not quite what I'm after, but if do happen to stumble across a M-Sport 530dA from a (BMW) dealer, then let me know!!...
(I've just got to used to the 6 cyl now, not sure if I could go back to a 4cyl just yet)

Found a link to the Dingolfing Factory ... looks like we can get guided tours (but no cameras allowed). Will get in touch with them in the coming days and see what they can do for us.
