Alright I just tried dragging a file into the spotlight area in the upper right corner and nothing happens. To get the path I have to drag into the terminal but that's just way too many steps to grab a file path. I don't understand why Apple doesn't make it easier out of the box w/o 3rd party add-ons.
Select the folder or file and on the main menu, select Finder > Services > Summarize.
Bingo. There's the path. You can get in from "get info" too.

That's still what 3 steps? I want it in 1 step address bar style. I can copy the path in 1 second that method takes what like 3-5? Can't beat Windows workflow IMHO.

If you change your view options for finder, you will find it will display the file path too
