I believe you Viper786. Nothing wrong with your morals and respect. You may be more mature than some of the hecklers in this case.

ok, time for me to jump into this topic. better late than never . i got my license when i was 18 but i drove my dad's car (manual) when i was 12 ! my dad was next to me and he wanted to teach me how to drive stick. when i first got my license, i drove his car and my mom (yes, my mom is the boss at home) told me if i damage the car, i have to buy it . well, who cares cuz i was thinking i'm "god of racing" at that time :winkcool:. but my friend kissed my a$$ and the trunk couldn't even close :'(. well, i think i don't have to finish the story :bashwall:.

Viper, if you lived in NJ you would not have to ask this. A 17 yo kid driving an E60, the insurance would be about $10,000/year. I remember when I was 17 (35 now) I drove like crazy (kind of like now too).

there is the dark side of insurance . your parents will need to clean up all the $hit if you get into an bad accident (knock on wood) and the limits are exhausted :'(. the other party has the right to go after your parents for additional payments . worst case is your parents' assets and properties are now belong to the stranger . even worse is the other party's attorney can take portions of their paychecks and gives the money to the other party...man, i don't even want to continue :'(. so you have to be 200% more careful. you are not only screwing yourself if something goes wrong, your parents, too. if you think of the above, i'm sure you'll drive safely and wisely .
