My Ride: 545i; Manual Shifter
The lower half of the mirror is a black lens or carbon fiber piece which makes the two-tone mirror look pretty sweet.
Is the mirror going to be entirely black on a black-colored car or is the bottom piece going to have a different color?

Bottom piece is black plastic "lense" per say... non functional... its not any lane departure warning system or flood lighst or anything... its purly for racing... so when you are racing with the same cars you can look behind you and see the plastic (*which is color coded in races*) and can tell instantly whos on your team.

The mirrors I ordered does come with the auto-dimming and I ordered the convex in lieu of flat or - there was one other option for no upcharge. Unfortunately, (or fortunately 'cause it doesn't bother me), it will be black on black! (This way my wife won't really know I've spent more on the car!) 
But actually, with an all black car a two-tone mirror may look funny - no?

For now they only come in black... but it'll be cool theres an extra RACING black piece on a black car! heheh cant wait to see your mirrors...
