I'd interpret this as "introduced" at the Geneva Motor show in Spring 2009. That would not surprise me since there are mules running around already.

The E92 M3 was introduced at Geneva in Spring 2007. It took another year to actually get the car in the US.

The F10 could likely follow this same kind of schedule, so I think we are still 2+ years away for actual arrival in US dealerships.

I think you have it all wrong. Maybe we will accept the V8 guys to the "Turbo Club"!

I read the same thing in Roundel and I think it's just plain wrong.

I don't believe that the new 7er and 5er will be introduced a few months apart or that BMW will break with the seven-year product cycle. I'll take bets that the F10 is introduced sometime in 2010 and will be an MY11, at least in the US.

That's the way I read both this article and the AutoWeek one.... 2010 I'm afraid.

I don't know either way but it seems that test cars are being seen all over and with the previous introduction of the E60, that didn't happen until the last year before it was released. BMW is usually very tight lipped. I will ask at the BMWNA presentation at the NY Int'l Auto show next week, if they even acknowledge an F10 then its coming in the spring '09.

Competition should trump tradition.

But I don't think we'll see it that soon.

Hey - Can you confirm when the next generation M5 is expected? 2 years after F10? I need at least that much time to get the wife on board...

Thanks

I too think we MAY see a F10 appear on the car show circuit late '09 but would be shocked if it were on the roads in the US prior to 2010. But a twin turbo V8 sounds delicious...
