F10 for Singaporeans
#41
The preview car(s?) arrived Tuesday afternoon. Customer previews (by appointment) started on Wednesday. Mine's scheduled for Thursday lunchtime . Understand that the test drive would be available at or after the launch, which is currently scheduled for May 20.

Went for the preview yesterday. Three cars were there - one Silver 535i, one Sapphire Black 523i Highline and one Silver Standard 523i.
The car looks great with beautiful lines and good external proportion. It looks much larger than E60 especially from the front view.
The interior is very luxurious and quality is way above the current E60. However, the interior wood trim (Ash grain) for the 523i Highline looks really aweful as it is too light and the grain looks very dirty. The plain Piano Black wood trim on the Standard 523i is a lot better while the Anthracite wood trim on 535i (which I opted for the 523i HL model I booked) looks very good.
Also, I find the standard 5.5 inch idrive display looks awkward in the 523i as it is dwarfed by the large dashboard and looks out of proportion. The 10 inch display on the 535i looks way better and balanced. Glad that I opted for the 10 inch display.
The engine compartment is very neat and clean much like what you see in Lexus.
On the whole, I am very pleased with the car and really looking forward to own it.
The 523i Highline is now going for S$229,000 while the 535i is close to S$290,000.
I think the real excitement will be actually driving it when it is officially launched.
Although I placed my order in March, I am only expected to get my car in July since I have ordered a number of options.

Anyone in singapore has gotten a firm delivery date for their F10? My SE told me I have to wait till August because of the additional options I wanted. The official launch date is 18 May at the Scape off Orchard Road.Just received the invitation to attend.

Mine's a May production unit, since I wanted more time to decide on the options. SE has informed me that delivery would be in July or, at the latest, August. At least they got me a COE during the May bidding so there's one less variable to deal with.

Hi guys,
You seem to a pretty nice discussion here.
But please do read the other F10 posts as well.
