Just placed my order for the 523i Highline version today at PML with additional options of Navigation System Professional and Integral Active Steering. Expected delivery date is June or July. Anyone else have placed the order? Heard that PML has so far received more than 200 orders. Chose Fineline Anthracite wood trim and oyster / black dakota leather upholstery for interior trim. The standard Ash grain high gloss wood trim looked aweful and way too light.

Here we go again...............

Received call from my sales consultant that I need to place order before 2pm today to beat the price increase. The drastic increase in COE price yesterday means PML will up their launch price. I am planning to order the 523 Highline plus Roller blind for rear window and Soft-close function for doors. Yap, I will change the ash grain high gloss to ash grain brown. The former just doesn't work for me. I am quite disappointed PML decided not to bring in the 528. Lets see when DMS can come up with chip flashing for 523.

The 523i highline is priced at S$216,000 from 12 noon today. It was only $203,800 yesterday. Crazy COE price surge. In time, 523i will cost S$250,000 in Singapore.

Considering to get the new F10, hopefully no significant reliability issues for first batch. Any idea how much additional to upgrade from Nav Business to prof ? The smaller sceen dosent seem to blend too well judging frm available pics

Just placed my order. PML now has over 300 orders on hand. Practically all the cars arriving in May have been sold out.

I am getting confusing information from PML. I was told that the Singapore 523 comes with 2.5L engine. The same as as the Z4 2.3. However, all the information I've seen so far indicates a 3.0 engine. Any idea on this?

vkhong,

I think with this kind of car prices and also very high property prices, many more will emigrate.

bravojs, the upgrade is worth it. I have seen the 7 inch Nav Bus and the 10.1 inch Nav Prof and the difference is miles apart. The Nav Pro comes with a 12GB hard disk as well which you can download your music on. The cost of upgrade is less than $3k so is very worth it.

oZZo, yes, it is the 2.5L engine and not the 3.0L engine you will find in UK and Europe. But the horsepower at 204 hp is the same for both engine although I suspect if you want to remap the ECU, the 3.0L engine will likely offer higher potential. I heard the 2.5L engine is used for Singapore because our fuel is not suitable for the new 3.0L engine. I 2.5L engine also offers some road tax savings.
