Just curious to see what the difference is between the 10.2" screen (with the professional media) and the standard 7" screen.
I can't seem to find any clear pics that show the difference - are for example all the images shown in the BMW brochure just with the larger display size (call me cynical)?
I guess what I am interested in is with the smaller display does it look as if it's a "poor excuse" for the "proper" display.
About to place order for a 520d, Imperial Blue, Oyster/Black, Sports Seats, Split/Folding Rear Seats - can't make mind up between business or professional media though....
1st time for a BMW, this time the standard spec looks fairly comprehensive, previously the option prices have made me decide to go elsewhere (especially the leather interior).
Cheers, Mark

My Ride: f10 520da - 328 wheels, ambient lighting, sport s-wheel, oyster/black, fineline anthracite, Sophisto Gray
I've got the poverty spec screen in mine; you don't miss what you've never had!
Ditch the screen and get the auto! Oh and ambient lighting.
Good luck

the difference is huge. My 2011 X5 has been at the dealer going on 38 days and have been driving a 535 as a loaner. I exchanged the 535 for an X5 so I can at least have a car which has the same capacity. The second I jumped in the X5 and looked at the screen, I felt like I went from looking at a TV to looking at my Ipod.

Thanks for the replies, I just about found some pics on the internet and yes there is quite a difference between the two screens BUT the options had to end somewhere so I decided to stick with the "poverty spec" display. Anyway the deed is done, the car is ordered.
Gone for manual 6 speed, as I like swopping cogs manually
Long wait till the end of May now....
