Default Electric seat adjuster not always working

The drivers seat electric adjuster in my 2004 E60 doesn’t always operate

For the last couple of weeks I get into it in the morning and press the preset button for myself after my wife has been driving and nothing happens

I drive down the road for a minute or so and push the button again and everything works fine again

I don’t know if anyone has had the same problem? And how did they fixed it?
A new/used electric seat control or were you able to repair it?

Thanks and I look forward to anyones advice
(And yes I know! Just don’t let my wife drive) lololololol

i recon it is either a bad connection or there is a broken wire in the loom similar to the rear boot lid loom after years of use

If noone has an answer I will pull mine to bits this weekend and let you know what I find

Any update??I brought it to my local indy shop and they said my module wasn't communicating. the options they gave me were 1) they could put it on a machine to test the module 2) reprogram the module or 3) replace the entire module.

My passenger seat wasn't working...was told I needed new module but it isn't plug n play and requires programming. Apparently NO ONE has had to program to activate a seat module before as I also get no response on forum(s)...

L
I removed the seat control module while the seat was not responding
at that point in time it had no power to the module when i tested it

suddenly it had power and everything started working

Since then it hasnt stopped again for me to test

As yet I havn't found the cause as to why the power stopped but I suspect it is a broken wire in the loom somewhere

This weekend I will bypast the old power wire with a new wire to see if it fixes the problem

I will take some pictures and post to show what I have done
