Agreed. It's sickening but true.

At least here in the US, many people have a sense of entitlement where they believe that it's okay to ask (and get) someone else to pay for something that they're ulitmately responsible for...

Do you think guys that BMW might have a warranty clause stating that the user is fully responsible for using the parking assistant and that BMW would not pay for any damages resulting from mistakes done by the parking assistant (which people can hold responsible for serious accidents as well)? In my country, that is very possible, but I do not know about the US and Europe.

I cannot imagine that BMW is going to start honoring warranty claims for curb rash on the wheels.

Me neither. Unless there's proof that some flaw in the system causes it to damage wheels consistently, the bottom line is that the driver still is responsible for the gas and brake pedals so they're still supposed to be in charge of things...
