I'm very pleased with my 2009 535 i (t).
i've driven 1000 kms.
today i noticed an INTERIOR ripple or dent and i am trying to figure out if I caused it or if i should seek a remedy through the warranty.
on top of the dashboard, under the rear view mirror (so, in the middle) there is a rectangular, metal screen-like surface (about 10" by 8") with a small, immovable nob protruding.
i have no idea what it is. and can see no reference to it in the owners manual.
security? interior temperature guage? telephone something or other?
and, regardless of what it is, it looks like somebody's pressed on it, or something has pressed on it, such that it has a three inch wrinkle that i can't take my eyes off of.
I thought i would seek your input before i approach the dealer.
thanks for your time.
Otis Modelle from Canada.

If Im following you correctly that is the rain sensor for the automatic windshield wiper feature. I would absolutely get it fixed under warranty.

...on the the dash right in the middle, right? The knob-like could be the light sensor or somethin' related to that (sun angle, maybe?) the screen-like piece is speaker cover for the center channel speaker.
