Hi All,
First post! I recently traded in my '06 325i for a 2008 CPO 550i with the Sport Package. The car is awesome, but in my blind love/lust I missed something when checking out the car. The wheels on the left side of the car have the little ///M logo in the rectangle near the hub, but the wheels on the right side do not. Can they fall off? Lost in the car wash? Replacement wheels maybe? Where can I find that little logo? I've been Googling with no luck. Any suggestions? Thx!

I think you will find that for $6.62 you get 1 badge at BMW prices.Much cheaper from other sources,but ,of course quality may be questionable.On ebay the word "genuine" does not mean a thing! However,they are so cheap on ebay it matters little if you lose one now and then.

 

that normally means that the wheels were refurbished and poor glue was used the second time around.

 

Prep is the key ... I'll bet whoever put on the original stickers didn't remove any wax from the painted wheel. So, wherever you buy your M stickers be certain to thoroughly degrease the recess with paint prep or alcohol and dry the area thoroughly before sticking them on. It also helps if the temperature is above freezing ... not a problem in most of the USA this month!

 

I went ahead and bought a batch of 9 from eBay. They were only like $8.00 including postage, so if they look like crap nothing much lost.
It wouldn't surprise me if the wheels were refurbished. I curb-rashed most of the wheels on my 325, and they were 17s. I've gotta be very careful with these 19s!

 

After I had my wheels redone I lost three of my stickers, so got another set of four of ebay for $10, and used a little dab of super glue on each one, worked a treat. Haven't lost any since
