Yes my 08 original battery is still working though during the cold winter I had to reset the time.

Does the reset time issue relate to the battery getting old?

Yes, I think when they get weaker, the time resets more easily if the doors are open too much/cabin lights on and that sort of thing.

And supposedly the electronics in the car start going crazy, sometimes without the tell tale time lost issue, so you think something's wrong (with the iDrive, for example).
