I haven't checked my mpg in so long. I'm not really concerned about mpg as I'm more concerned with the damage cheap gas does. I had tons of issues with my older BMW and simply using better gas fixed a lot of problems. My mechanic gave me that tip for free even. So now I'm kind of hooked on only using quality fuel.

Around here they increase and decrease the Ethanol Winter vs summer and the Ethanol does the damage at any octane. I just love how this bimmer Rides. Quite and I feel it floats and I hope I pass inspection next week or 2
.

i understand. I'm glad they don't practice that here.

You should pass smog just fine if you're not throwing a bunch of codes.

I don't have Smog. I have emission that they connect the Computer of the car to a Scanner and has to show Drive Cycle PASS. There are bunch of them that needs to show a PASS. I gave up on a car once because of how they test here.

Then its safety. We follow California CARB standards but not the Smog.. I think Smog is easier than what these clowns do.

Smog test is emissions test in CA.

I have long since heard that California has the most stringent emissions test requirements in the US.
