Tailgate Problem

My Ride: 535d Sport Tourer - E34 M5 Race Car

Is it just mine or does anyone else find that the tailgate shocks don't seem to want to lift the tailgate when it's cold (<3'c), I find they lift about halfway then you have to push the rest of the way.

FS: E61 535D -06, Activesteering, Comfort seats, Hifi, M-steeringwheel, PDC, Rails, Tinted windows, Folding mirrors, Towconnector, Alu trims, Panoramic roof, ISO FIX, SonyEricsson BT-HF, 124 wheels, Alarm, Electric lid, Aburn interior, Xenons, Silvergrey and the crappy cupholders!!!

I had no problems and my ride and last winter I tested it in -25c. Sorry, but I think there is some kind of problem with the height sensors on your car.

Oh, sorry!!
But that ones have been replaced on mine, just becouse of the problems you have. It did not lift the lid more than half when it was cold.

If you have a scraping noise when you lift the lid, it can be the covers for the hinges that are old and not modified type. Last spring a new version that are a little rounded on one side was release.
The old one was all square on the sides and touched by the inside of the lid and after some time the paint was scrabbed off becouse the cover moved up and down all the time. The scrap noice came after the lid was lifted about 2/3.
