Default Trouble with remote

Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if you can help.

I got trouble with my remote, it is not working time to time and this is usually when I open the tailgate.

It can use it 20 times and it works without issue, once I open the tailgate - or even the glass only it stops for some time - never actually measure for how long and than in few hours it is working again.

thx

I think its called a diversity antenna. Located in the spoiler in the top of the glass door.

Either it is broken, has moisture in it or the wires to it that pass through the hinges are broken.

I opened mine, sprayed with wd40 and sealed with silicon. Been fine since.

Common fault

Broken wires in the right hand hinge.
There's a whole thread on it in the mods section

I had this problem the other day for the first time. Is the diversity antenna in the shark fin or behind the black plastic above the glass hatch?
It must have been water because its working again.

Above the glass door in the boot lid. Take the spoiler type bit off from the outside. I think shark fin has GPS in it.

Mine was a bit random for a day or 2. Then stopped completely.
Mine was the wires. Not water...
