My 07 has it, it was part of the Premium package for that year up on the wagons in North America.
As stated the magnets that signal to the car the cover is in the correct position may have moved. I don't know if this is a easily User fixed thing. If you look along the slot where the cargo cover slides you can see the "Screw" type system to raise and lower the cover.
If you can 't see the long threaded Screw I'm willing to be your car does not have it.
I'll see if I can snap a Shot of what I'm talking about after work today.

Thanks for the clarification. I had a fresh look this morning - there are NO mechanical parts (screws or other) that would draw the interior shade back down to the closed position -- so it is not a feature in my vehicle.
Have to say that for the first month or so of having the car I would often forget to restore it to the closed position - but now I've pretty much got the habit down. (More importantly, the kids do too!)
