Thanks Lotus.... haha good combo fella, these are defo dog friendly cars

I've got a Pyrenean Mountain dog and a retriever... they used to fit in the S3, but the interior was black (Pyrenean white hair is a nightmare!!) and I had to put the seats down to fit them in - the 'big one' also weighs almost 70kg's, so thought i'd save my back with an estate ... ball ache

70 kg's!!! That's how much I weigh! Holy smokes. Ours is 30 and I can lift her the odd time I've needed to.

Did you see this post of mine on the cover for the trunk? You should really consider getting one. It's great. Custom fit. I didn't get the tongue, though in retrospect, I wish I had.

Lotus, that looks very OEM!! wish i'd have seen that before i bought this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E61-04...item3353517514 yours look far more classy....

This is very soft rubber and works well...its very heavy duty rubber. Downside it looks like im sponsored by Michelin

We have one of those too (I'd bought it the day we got the car, before getting the dog cover). When putting heavy things in the back, I actually pull out the fabric one, since when you slide things in and out, it's easier on the rubber one. The other issue with the rubber one is no side / back seat protection (which are all carpeted) from dog hair and mud. My version was about 125 pounds, so you might want to consider it at some point, and there are lots of colours too. I got the sand colour over black as I figured it would show our dog's hair less, and it's worked out well.

Yeah i can definately see the benefit over what i have.... hairs are a massive problem and a pain in the back side to get rid of. Once I've sorted all the issues out on the car, the plan is to buy the Mtech bumpers and then purchase one of those black bumper protectors off ebay as the next step... then one of these will defo be on the shopping list.

Good news today.... my specialist sorted my Idrive, rear suspension and couple of other bits - as well as confirming that both my CCC units are functioning (meaning i can re-sell one) and he charged me £200!! relieved is not the word!!

Now this is how the car will look with M-bumpers and a 35 mm drop!

Personally, I think it looks insanely good. The pic was posted on a German forum by a local member. (http://www.e60-forum.de/thread.php?t...=5&sid=#218923)

And these are just his winter wheels

Ok, so my picture quality isnt very good. But, I thought I would add this to the party! This is my last '06 530XI. Our current one is missing the wheels and manual transmission.
