My Ride: 2005 525d manual touring. Beige comfort leather, panoramic sunroof, hifi and blinds option.
I just bought a used 2005 E61 with Orient Blue metallic, Beige Leather Comfort Seats (full electrics), Dark Poplar, Panoramic sunroof, and 676 (HIFI loudspeaker system UK - one up from the base level). Was talking with BMW dealer (who gave me a free print out of the original spec), and said "shame it hasnt got Logic 7" to which he replied ? "not worth it ? you wouldnt hear any difference ?"
The full electric seats with Memory are wonderful. Each key coded to a set position, so when my wife opens the door (with her key) the seats and steering wheel are auto adjusted to her settings, etc, etc.
Beige leather, dark poplar, huge sunroof (just for the light), and electric seats really go nicely !

Congratulations frost015 and welcome to the forum.
You will find a lot of good advice here in the E61 sub-forum and the other discussion groups!
My salesmen (both for the 2006 and 2010) said the same thing regarding Logic7 in the tourning version. However, I bought Logic7 on the second go-around (see: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=70009 ) as I really like music and had read some wonderful things about it from owners (see above.) Since I attempt to own my cars for a long time - $1,200 ammortized over 10-to-14 years is only a dinner or two out per year.
I will report back in April when delivery is expected!
I bet you will really like the Comfort Seats.
Best
John

Did you consider night vision...and I'm wondering if it is the updated night vision that the new 7 series is getting? Do you have any info on possible new paint colors for 2010? I was thinking about going from ti Silver to Monaco Blue...I see you switched to black. Comfort seats are great!

Well that was a Salesperson telling you what you want to hear!
You can tell the difference between Logic7 and the HiFi system. When recently shopping for my latest 5er, a Touring, I tested a car with the "HiFi" option and there was a significant difference in range / power / bass compared to Logic7. I personally ordered Logic7 each time from new and also focussed on second-hand cars with the option. (Just for the record, I did not think the HiFi option was bad, I just felt the extra the Logic7 gave is worth the premium price)

rhnorb I must beg ignorance re the new 7's improved night vision. Although, I looked at the video on youtube after your post and came away with the same concern that I had for the old nightvision.
I see only a marginal use of night vision on the iDrive LCD screen.
If I am driving on a pitch black road (rare for me in suburban CT), I want to concentrate on the view out the windscreen and not be frequently glancing down at the car's LCD.
Now if the night vision view and/or a night vision warning indicator were projected on the heads-up view that would be another thing. As it stands, I think night vision is a nice feature, but one I can do without.
Best of luck on your new car.

Wish I could order a replacement wagon but you can't in the USA.
The sales man says that they are going to stop importing the 3 wagon as well.
So for now I will keep my E61 and will probably move to an MB 2017 wagon when they come out.
