• Yesterday, I turned 74 and I bought myself a two pole car lift (10,000#), all new rotors/pads/sensors, ignition tune up and a bunch of other stuff to get after my 2008 E61. I've been pulling my hair out trying to decide if I should keep the car and spend a lot of money on it ,or sell the car loose a lot of money on it and buy a new car and spend a lot of money on it. I don't have a lot of money. Also, I love this car. A station wagon I've had up to 145 (with more in there), that I can sleep in and goes in the snow and sand. What's not to like? Well,
• misfires
• oil leaking everywhere
• some suspension issues and
• a funky tailgate

So I'm choosing this forum as my primary brain trust to get me through this without having to sell my house or... be committed to the madhouse.

My goal is to get the car into reliable condition with some beauty modifications to let folks know how I feel.
