Default E61 production numbers by color

I have what I think is a fairly rare color on my 2008 535Xi - Barbera red. Mine is an automatic and I have found a thread that spoke to all the manual cars by color but can someone direct me to a thread which shows how many E61s were produced in specific colors

regardless of transmission?

thanks
Mike

I don't know if there is a thread detailing the automatics. I think you are very safe on the call that you indeed have a rare colour. As many of the E61's are no longer even on the road, what was originally a rare car, gets rarer with each passing day. I am finding the amount of traffic here on the E61 forum is slowing down considerably as I believe many of the remaining cars are now being held by those who don't use them as daily drivers. Yours looks amazing. Enjoy!

That red looks amazing (very emotive). I would say it is certainly rare; I haven't seen it on any wagon or sedan in many years. Mine is silver-gray, which seems like the most popular after black.

I've noticed a decline in traffic as well. Conversely, I've noticed more E60s in the traffic. There are three other E61s in my general area, though the drivers tend not to wave back. Wagon Master- do you think many are being tucked away for a future upswing in value? I am shocked at how low they've dropped.

When I saw the color and options of my 2010 E61 I had to have it. I have only seen one other wagon in Neptune Blue. It is nice that is has the newer I-drive controls. Keeps it a little more current, relevant. I agree we the previous post that manual e61's will definitely retain there value better than automatics. As long as possible I will always drive a wagon. Wagons forever! 🤘🤘

Default The *ONLY* Barberarot E61 535xi 6 speed

Hello all, figured I'd share my somewhat recent (within the last 3 months) acquisition with you all; the rumored 1 of 1 Barberarot E61 535xi with a 6 Speed! Purchased from a gentleman in Calgary back in October via Cars & Bids, it now lives with me in the Des Moines metro area. The car is mostly stock aside from some typical N54 bolt ons including a VRSF intercooler, chargepipe & COBB tune(will be replacing with MHD). Hope this post will reinvigorate the discussion of production numbers for these amazingly multifaceted cars and other E61 owners can post their unique specs as well. Cheers!

Beautiful in red, nice pictures.

If I recall correctly, there was a Canadian forum that had some production numbers and listed colors. It was a long time ago, no idea how to find it again.

The gist, Monaco Blue was by far the dominate import color. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 75% Monaco Blue.

The reds are indeed VERY rare. And a very small number of manual transmissions, mostly in Canada. Total production numbers for all of North America are low as well. I think only a single year topped one-thousand E61's sold. Explains why the F11 & G31 never made it to America.

Titanium Silver was the desired color, in that forum. Manuals are of course the most desired now, and theft proof! (wink) {Analog clocks, manual transmissions and cursive writing.}

I have Monaco Blue, a friend has silver. Have spotted silver, white and black in the wild.

Here is a link to the thread that was posted 10 years ago about the Manual E61's as well as the colour breakdown. Interesting data for those interested.

I live very close to you, I have a 2008 535xi E61, I'm reaching out too see if you have any time to talk about these cars and possibly help me pin down some of the reliably issues I'm having/recommend some upgrades.

I feel the need to add i have never seen a car in such a beautiful color, mine is specked identically to the one found in the 2008 advertisement which I thought was cool but yours is just drop dead gorgeous

Thank you for the kind words! I would be happy to talk E61s in a private message, but I don't live in Montana. I was just passing through on my way home to Iowa after importing the car from Canada. I'd love to see some pics of your ride!
