How's it going everyone? Seems like the E61 world is slowly dying out. I'm new to the car and am loving it! How many people are still on this thing and where are we all at!?

I live in Montana, not much going on up here. Hope everyone is having a good week! Cheers!

I'm here, in Chicago. I recently joined this forum and noticed the same, E61 section is not very active.

I'm still here however I'm starting to look to replace my E61 with an E350 4Matic wagon. I'll either trade it or sell it. BMWUSA's X4 is the latest model which has me dumbfounded.

Just a word of advice... Posts specific to the touring go here. Posts that may apply to either the wagon or sedan can be found in the E60 section, so I'd check in with both.

I know. The E61 draws a much different crowd than the E60 guys. It takes a special person to love a wagon. That's why I am here posting it. I am on all of the forums but just trying to start some good conversation with the touring guys.

Dumbfounded? I think BMW is just trying to make a car for everyone and to fit more income brackets. Is it a good thing? Maybe. Have you seen pics of the new M2? Goodness, its beautiful.

+1. I thought the X6 was bad. The X4 might be the most hideous vehicle I've ever seen come out of BMW, and I've see the i3.

BMW is turning into Volkswagen, complete with 'badge engineered' cars (see upcoming UKL based BMWs....). They don't care about building the Ultimate Drive Machine, they care about building the ultimate profit machine. Norbert Reithofer seriously damaged BMW in my opinion.

I have a car to buy in the next year, I'll be looking at a CPO 1er or E92. After that I'm probably done with BMW, which is a shame. I've driven nothing but BMWs since 1998.

I have a dealer a mile from my house, and can honestly say the only car that piques my interest is the new 7. Other than that I don't see a single car there that I'd want to own. 10 years ago I remember walking into the dealer and wishing I could have one of each.

/rant.

And what does an M2 have in common with a E61/F11 wagon? Same as the X4, etc. They're all the same and have far less utility than a wagon.
