Yeah that decal is WACK!!

If the weather clears up this weekend I may test drive it. BUT I'm definitely not buying this car. Too many miles, and too much $$$ needed for upcoming maintenance such as shocks etc.. But I have to say this is the lowest priced E60 M5 I've seen so far.

i mean, if you want a project car...and have the cash (like $8k to keep around) then offer them like sub 20s for it....just do it only if youre ready to start swapping stuff out....def dont do it if its gna be a daily driver tho...

Make a note of the VIN and visit your local BMW Center to inquire about the passenger airbag seat sensor recall ("passenger side restraining system light came on and went off while driving"). While you are there, they should be able to give you a copy of its recorded service history and any open campaigns (recalls). They can black out the last owner's information if they are worried about privacy.

Depending on how the vehicle was driven ("launch control"), I would be concerned about the big dollar items such as transmission / clutch and known maintenance items such as engine coolant system, electronic shock absorbers, and brakes.

5yrs from jow most e60s will have that mileage and they'll still be popular. If you arent going to be putting a ot of miles on it then go for it....like a weekend car.

In my very honest opinion, any e60 m5 is considerable.

the v10 atmospheric engine is something that should be taught to people in universities... And I think it's the most special engine which carries the original atmospheric M soul.

I found a 06 with 56k miles for 29k fully loaded. Carfax shows up clean and its CPO also, think thats a good deal? Might pull the trigger soon on one.

Dude, as long as you are happy with the mileage on the engine. Just go and get a PPI (pre purchase inspection) from the dealership (that's the only subject they are good at) then buy.

Also another if.

buy IF you will actually not bother with changing the lights etc. or modding the lights to LCI model will not bother you at all.
