Remember that the new double clutch transmission is good for "only" 750 Nm.
I would say the hp's for the improved M5 will be around 600.

My Ride: 2007 E60 M5 Silverstone II full black leather (not extended) most UK options but no through loading sadly

Why don't they try a supercharger. With turbos in the rear there has to be a lag. And the sound of the turbos winding up reminds me of a japanese car.
Have a look at the next M5 you see, space next to the engine is very limited, the high efficiency headers take up a lot of space..
