really
The 500bhp one cost ?5000 to tune, the 800bhp one cost ?30000 just for the engine alone, not much standard lol! Dry sump 8.500 rpm, solid lifters, custom reverse inlet manifold, custom inconal exhaust manifold, custom intercooler, GT40 BB turbo, 3" back exhaust, seprate waste gate exhaust, tial waste gate, block 'ring' top deck and stress relieved, head ported and larger valves and seats. scat 'H' beam rods, slipper single 2 ring cermic coated pistons, water meth injection and intercooler spray, alloy flywheel etc etc etc etc
It was a life style and all involving hence when I got married a flame shooting, tyre smoking, ear bleeding rocket that demanded money and time every day and as with all these projects are never finished.... her in doors said it had to go so along came my M5 shortly to be joined by a 911GT3 RS

The thing is just immaculate, custom interior, carbon fiber engine pieces, custom carbon fiber dash.. and it sounds like a beast!!!
Mind you this was my first time every on a drag strip with a car, let alone my 510hp $100,000 car.. but i ran consecutive 12.8's with HORRIBLE 60ft times (over 2 seconds)... He was having some troubles with his newly acquired launch control and getting it to launch properly.. but when he did he was running low 12's (12.35, 12.32) and shooting fricken flames out the back....
The final Race.. 12.40(s4) 12.81(m5) DAMN!!! i've read that the m5 will do 12.2's 1/4 mile.. so i want to do another run!... we have a video of a pull we did on the highway on the way back from the track... 50-270... (1st gear and we were side by side until 210km/h...
So another race to come!! with video!
Sorry i dont have any more info on the B5.. ill bug him today and post!

Yeah I figured he'd have the advantage on the track due to the short distance but would really like to see more rolling start runs between the two cars up to around 150mph if possible...on a closed road of course.
