That's amazing. Is the "Radical" what "we" would call a production car? Can you explain the difference in the Radicals--the one you mentioned and the two in the above list. Thanks.

I quess everyone has seen cd's post--M5/M6. The M5 results are disappointing given the car is a Euro car with full LC. Here is his link again.

The link gives the following for the M5: 4.1 12.4 115.8
Recall that the C&D M5 results are: 4.2 12.5 118

What is disappointing is that the new data suggest that full LC helps only .1 to both 60 and in the 1/4, while the related 1/4 speed value is "down to" 115.8. 118 was very impressive, but if we substitute 115.8 for 118 in the following what was so impressive about the M5 goes away--i.e., it no longer is pulling away from its peers at the end of the 1/4. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the results for a US M5 come in from the other two mags.

The M5's Original Set of Peers:

E55 AMG R&T 6/03 4.2 12.4 116.40
911 GT3 R&T 3/05 4.2 12.4 113.80
911 Turbo (415 HP) R&T 3/05 4.0 12.4 115.60

Here are some new M5 data from the 3/06 MT. I have re-done some of what is above. I will be updating our leaderboard soon.

0-60 4.5
1/4th time 12.9
1/4th speed 114.9

Here are the predictions from the statistic tests I did earlier. They are correct so far.

Predictions/Conclusions:

For M5 0-60 time:
a. M5 0-60 value reported by MT probably will be slower than the C&D value already reported.
b. M5 0-60 value reported by R&T is somewhat likely to be slower than the C&D value already reported.
c. M5 0-60 value reported by MT probably will be slower than the R&T value to be reported (Edited).
d. Those predicting relatively slower M5 0-60 times will improve in the next set of rankings.

For M5 1/4 mi. time:
While the important probabilities are insignificant, they favor the idea that those who predicted lower M5 1/4 mi. times will improve in the next set of rankings.

But, the improvement from the 0-60 predictions should outweigh any improvement from the 1/4 mi. predictions. OK, I expect to move up in the rankings next time for this reason and because I can't imagine higher 1/4 mi. speeds than 118 mph being reported.

Below are the old (C&D) and new (MT) data and the updated leader board.

Data for Ranking--C&D

0-60:

Stream 4.1 (Tie for Second--6)
wolverine 4.2 (Tie for First--7)
Bimmer32 4.2 (Tie for First--7)
m5lover 4.2 (Tie for First--7)
C&D 4.2
Znod 4.3 (Tie for Second--6)

Centurion 117 (Tie for Third--5)
Bimmer32 117 (Tie for Third--5)
Stream 116.40+ (Second--6)
Znod 115 (First--7)
MT 114.9

Ranking to Date:

1. Znod = (6 + 7 + 3) + (7 + 7 + 7) = 37
2. Bimmer32 = (7 + 7 + 6) + (5 + 6 + 5) = 36
2. Centurion = (5 + 7 + 6) + (5 + 6 + 7) = 36
3. Stream = (6 + 6 + 5) = + (6 + 5 + 4) = 32
3. m5lover = (7 + 5 + 7) + (4 + 4 + 5) = 32
4. Wolverine = (7 + 6 + 4) + (3 + 5 + 5) = 30
5. cobradave = (6 + 5 + 3) + (2 + 4 + 6) = 26

One mag. to go until the winner of the M5 is announced. I think that the predictions favor the current leaders to some extent.

I demand a "retest" from RT . . . Wait, there one more mag? OK. I'm fine for now.

My predictions, as well as the current standings, favor you, me and Centurion. I was surprised to see the comparo in MT. I was just cruising through the mag, and there it was. I didn't see mention on the cover. Maybe it was in small print. I forget what color you wanted. I need to reserve at least 3 colors.

Yes, but my results have been audited. And, I definitely wasn't first after the first round. The 118 MPH figure killed me. It's not consistent with either of the later US mag results, with R&T only having tested Euro versions at this point. I have updated predictions coming.
