I?m enjoying every minute when driving my car. As a total package - there is nothing that can beat the M5 IMO.

Well after much head scratching i've put pen to paper & paid my deposit on the following:

BMW E60 M5 in Interlagos Blue
May 2005 05 Reg with 8000 miles
Extras are:
Full Black Merino Leather
Extended Voice Control
Aluminium Cube Trim
BlueTooth Phone Preperation & Nokia Cradle
Extended Voice Control System
Hi-Fi Professional Logic 7
M-Multi Functional Seats (active back, lumbar & side bolster as also found in new RS4)
Side & Rear SunBlinds (Rear Electric)
TV Function (Freeview Digital & Analogue)
Through Load System Inc Ski Bag
Universal Remote Control

Due to pick it up on Friday 12th May, as they need to enable MP3, change the wood trim to Aluminium Cube, Update CIP to latest available & detail/valet the car to perfection, as i noticed a few light surface scratches on the doors, no doubt where people have been viewing the car inside the dealership.

May have the DMS re-map & de-limit done at some point, but i'm going to live with the car for a few weeks first.

I can't believe i'm selling the DMS 535D M-Sport so soon, as it's a fabulous car & i'll be very sorry to see her go, however the deal on this M5 is almost too good to be true & therefore needed to be purchased by me

Will post photos & report after i've taken delivery.
wise man as I said before you will never regret it!

ps. you said you make a nice profit on your DMSed 535d

I think that was taken the day i picked the car up. Right now the car is showing 34.2MPG as an average & was up at 36.7MPG for most of last week. I know i won't see those figures again, but i'm hopeful for the business trips of 400ish miles, i can keep in lower power mode, have my right foot amputated & achieve low-mid 20's (that's what the brochure says )

Picking it up on Friday 12th, so got over a week to wait.

The dealer has some work to do to upgrade the CIP to current version, enable MP3 playback, get the car polished & valeted to my rather stern quality requirements & the slight DVLA delay to get my cherished number of the 535D & onto the M5.

Sounds awesome!!

If you are getting 34mpg from the 535d I bet you do get 18mpg from the M5. I could live with that!
