Like I said before, we are not privileged to all the details, and I am sure they had hard evidence to stick him (which BMW550iFreak states himself). I can hardly imagine that merely a written post got him busted. If you really think that, you're just being gullible.
Also, JOHN, you have a crazy way to debate:
1) His parents made a mistake, he is not responsible or experienced enough to drive a car of this caliber. That is not to say that any and all wealthy families can't buy their son or daughter powerful cars because they all can't handle it.
2) This is done by the media, whichever outlet did, that's them taking it to that bar. I don't think many of use agree with it, but again, this is the Internet. Always be afraid. You willz be found.
3) See above. And watching porn is not indecent... it's art!
4) See above. Again, I can't see how you can say "this is where our responsibility ends". If a week or month from now, we catch on the news reel that BMW550iFreak speed on the freeway, lose control somehow and a kill a family of 4, can you really sit there and be like "oh shit, I guess he'll really learn now" or would you think, "damn, somebody should reined him in when there was the chance". This wasn't a Minority Report sort of deal man. The guy committed a crime, and probably still drives like a maniac, that's why the community (ours and his neighbors) responded.
And about the whole employer thing. I don't know man, perhaps it might appeal to pizza delivery chains, because he'll get there in time, j/k. Seriously though, I personally think it's not THAT big of a deal. So a search comes up with him being an idiot, okay... he should just be upfront and bring it up instead and said he was immature and has learned from the experience (accepted the responsibility and consequences) and now he's more mentally mature. Unless the hiring manager is an odd prick or had someone in his fam killed by a reckless driver, I don't see why they wouldn't overlook it.

Look, this juvenile behavior had to stop. Based on some of the testominials by his neighbors in his community, him speeding up and down their street happened on more than one occasion. Will we honestly believe this was only a one time incident? I think not. The officers acted on the evidence presented/discovered and had no chioce but to charge his sorry ass, and this so called "rat" was a very small piece of that evidence.
Now in the original thread (140 in a....) , did not a neighbor in his community actually make a post about witnessing his speeding and threatened him to some degree? How do we know it wasn't s/he who had called the authorities? I don't buy it when the officer said it was a U.S. citizen who reported it. Maybe at the time that was a more convenient thing for her to say . But will we ever know, I don't think so.
The fact is we have one less irresponsible driver on the streets, at least for six months.

I saw this on the news, came here and read all of the comments, and now I'm registered just to make this statement.
While there are obviously some good members here that have the right mentality about it, alot of you are complete tools, nope can't even say that, tools are useful. Likening this incident to a simple act of immaturity that he will grow out of is ludicrous.
This idiot deliberately pulled into a populated residential area. He then proceeded to turn off every safety feature in the car except airbags. Then he took his weapon 100kmh over the posted speed limit. Yes, that's right, I said weapon because that's what he was using it as. This incident is nothing short of attempted 1st degree murder. The idea that he was actually able to reduce the charge, is utterly infuriating, it makes a complete joke of the whole reason the dangerous driving law was made in the first place. He should be in jail, his car at auction, and license revoked. He has demonstrated on this forum that he has learned nothing. And much like a child that tortures animals and grows up to kill people, this homicidal maniac WILL kill somebody someday. Defend that, go ahead.
And to those complaining about privacy. I don't know who the hell told you that the internet was private, but the fact that you believed it says something about the level of your intelligence.
As someone who has lost someone to retarded street racers like this f**kwad, I say bravo to the good person who notified the police, and in addition, I truly do hope that the neighbor that's been mentioned gives him his just deserts. Although sadly now that isn't likely to happen because of the attention this has received.

The post you mena was made by user: YRP.
YRP = York Regional Police.
They posted to find witnesses.
Here it is:
Any witnesses that wish to come forward on Apple Blossom Drive, Vaughan about the dangerous operation of 2006 BMW M5S please contact Sergeant Morash, of York Regional Police, Community Response Unit at
581@yrp.ca
581@yrp.ca
This happened after they got informed about the thread and wanted to have evidence, because they can't do anything if it's just a post on a forum. So they searched for witnesses... and found them in his neighborhood, not here on the forum.

"bmw550ifreak, I happen to be walking down Apple Blossom a couple days ago with my son when you pulled your stunt and frankly I am shocked to see you bragging about this on a public forum (small world, isnt it?). If I ever see you speeding down the neighbourhood again, the cops are going to be the least of your worries!!! Our streets are full of kids and babies and has absolutly no tollerance for asswipes like you! If 8 pages on this thread didnt make it clear enough that you are an immature and irresponsible, I am going to make it crystal clear to you the next time you drive by.
For all those on the forum that doubt this kid has an M5, it is sadly true, but perhaps his mommy and daddy should know what their little offspring is doing with the toy they bought him."

I just registered to add my own comment to this story, the ones that are going against the actions that members of this community and the police took should reconsider your stance. Read this story closely:

Now, these actions that were taken by Police and the members of this community might have saved his life and the life of a few others on the road. Its a lesson he'll carry along with him for life, I am sure nothing in the world will make him forget this, it'll be a reminder to slow down and take it easy on the road.
(Updated at 1:30 p.m.) OCALA - Less than 12 hours before he died, Joshua Ammirato was posting messages on an Internet message board seeking advice about how to drive his 2008 BMW M5 faster.
Ammirato, 18, logged onto M5board.com Thursday and Friday, asking other M5 drivers how to shift smoother in the 500-horsepower machine.
"The problem is when I'm going pedal to the metal pushing 140 and upshifting, there tends to be thud noise with the gear change," he wrote in one post.
Ammirato and four other young Marion County men were killed at about 3:45 a.m. Saturday, when the BMW M5 he was driving sailed off the end of the Greystone airstrip in Anthony and crashed into a tree.
Messages on the board devoted to M5 enthusiasts show Ammirato logged on shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday as "AmericanM5."
"Let me say I am beginner when it comes to high performance cars as I am only 18 so take it easy on me," he wrote.
Other members of the board expressed skepticism that Ammirato could have a car with a base price of $82,900 at such a young age, but warned him to take it easy until he gained more driving experience.
"Maybe your 2 years driving experience in your whole life is the problem," one member wrote.
"The fact that I never drove a manual car before may be true, but I've been driving for a lot longer than two years buddy," Ammirato responded.
Ammirato's M5, according to his posts, was equipped with a "sequential manual gearbox," which shifts like a traditional manual transmission, but without a clutch pedal.
Automobile Magazine has described the M5 as "a fearfully intimidating machine," with writer Michael Jordan adding "we've found that the SMG transmission ... makes you feel like a victim of speed, not its master."
Ammirato told forum members he'd had the car for about three weeks. The vehicle is registered to his father, Santo Ammirato, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
In his posts, Joshua Ammirato listed his other cars as a 2008 BMW 535i, a 2007 BMW 335i and a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. All have less horsepower than the M5.
News of Ammirato's death drew condolences from forum members on Saturday and Sunday.
"My prayers are with Josh and his family as well. Being that I am 21 and going on my second M5 I know the temptation is great and sometimes hard to handle at that age," one member wrote. "This is a very serious car with extraordinary performance, i have learned to respect it because there is a VERY, VERY thin line between losing it and keeping it on the road."
Another hoped others would learn from the tragedy.
"Truly a sad, sad event. May God be with the families and friends," the poster wrote. "Hope that they have not died completely in vain -- that many young drivers (and their parents) will take this to heart and learn from it."
Ammirato asked forum members on Friday about turning off the M5's electronic stability control for higher performance. A member wrote back with concern.
"With all (due) respect, gradually learn your car before you turn off (stability control)," he wrote. "With a little mistake combination of your mind and your right foot, you can be history. Be safe and enjoy.
"P.S. People on this board care about each other, especially when someone owns 500 hp car at age of 18. Don't take it personal. We all watch each other(s) back."
Another member expressed concern about Ammirato's maturity.
"[I]t's just disturbing to know, if you're for real, that an 18 year old who is asking these questions about a 500hp car is driving the same streets I am. I don't have anything against young guys driving nice cars, but an 18 year old behind the wheel of an M5 is what accidents are made of," he wrote.
Ammirato responded at 5:33 p.m. Friday that he was responsible.
"I completely understand where you are coming from assuming that I am irresponsible ... that is definitely understandable. I do sometimes make bad decisions but I am young and I do drive safe and I will not endanger the lives of others."
A member from Australia again cautioned Ammirato to be careful.
"My only bit of advice matey -- If you crash in a big way expect to be on the news," he wrote. "Enjoy and resist the temptation to drag others at the lights."
Ammirato responded, in his last post, at 9:02 p.m. Friday.
"Thanks guys, don't get me wrong I never said I didn't respect your wisdom," he wrote. "[T]hanks for the welcome and I am looking forward to getting to know you guys better ... Josh."

A M5 in immature hands is a weapon. A deadly weapon. I think that some good will come out of these events and that lives may very well have been saved by the actions of responsible members of this board. I for one appalud the member from Missouri who brought this to the attention of the authorites. It was a courageous act and one that may have saved lives -- possibly that of Vlad himself.
