Default Bad USB Control Module

Just got my 2008 M5 back from the dealer. USB Port was dead and had them look at it. They said the USB control module is faulty. Want to charge $431 to fix and I asked about the cost of the part which is just over $100. I though I would look into doing this myself. Anyone know where this is part is? I have seen conflicting stuff online. I have seen center console and back left of trunk. Any instructions someone can share, and does the car need to be reprogrammed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

USB hub is located in the trunk next to the TCU. Very easy replacement. No need for programming after.
You can just buy the part from Bavauto and replace it yourself. Seems like ppl have the HUB go out after battery issues. The rest of the stuff if just wiring and connectors and I doubt those went bad. Start with the hub.

Installed it this weekend. It was an easy fix. Instantly saw the ipod populate on the screen when I turned the car on. Sweet! Thanks again.
