Never used Wynns but did use POWER SERVICE DIESEL FUEL SUPPLEMENT when i had my 524TD - especially during the winter months. RedLine also makes a diesel fuel additive. I've used their products for my gasoline engines.

I am sure that BMW recommend against using any additives in their diesels, the metal in the engine is very sensitive to any additives. I wouldnt use any for the fuel system unless BMW supply it and recommend it.

This is just my opinion though and i am not a mechanic.

Hey, It was in a BMW dealership that I say the wynns additives, they do it as an extra in the service which I didn't go for at the time but was thinking of doing. I know what you mean though I would think BMW would do there own brand.
