Hey guys,

So last night we got a decent dumping of snow, and I was reluctant to take my summer wheels off because the snow isn't going to stay very for long (it's supposed to warm up in a couple days). So this morning on my way to work it was kinda icy out but other cars around me didn't seem to be having much problems except me, I couldn't even accelerate everytime I stepped on the gas the warning light came on. In the end I made it to the office without any harm to the vehicle or wheels, hopefully it warms up a bit today so the drive home won't be as bad.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. Aren't those strictly summer tires?
You're lucky you made it in.

Every now and then we get a freeze here in TX for a day or so.
And most of the time it happens, I'm in the office. So, guess what
the drive home is like (I run summer tires all year long)?

What is usually a 30-45 minute drive becomes a 2hr commute

Drive safely and good luck on your way home

I had those on my old Subaru Impreza, and I agree in the rain or winter they were useless. Couldn't get grip at all!

It happens almost every year, and every year people drive like they've never experienced it before

Oh, so it's like here in SoCal if there's a slight drizzle - people suddenly lose their minds and can't drive for shit. I have seen things from the SUV that changed lanes too quickly and hit a bridge (it wasn't his fault really that bridge jumped in front of him) to the MB S-Class driver who went to cut someone off and did a 360 in front of 4 lanes of traffic - now THAT was an exciting commute!!

Everything is a calculated risk. You need some of those F1 tire warmers.
