Upgrade Cruise+Brake (S544A) to Active Cruise Control+stop&go (S5DFA) - E61 LCI '07

update:
when i remove the night vision activator/sniffer, ISTA and NCS expert can read and communicate with teh NVE and NVC (module and camera respectively)
Before buying the night vision module and camera kit, i asked the seller if it was from the same car, they confirmed, but i asked again, just to eliminate this possibility.
now when i scan using ISTA, i get the following:
00A74B : NVE: Coupling protection from NVC and NVE (Present code)
00A74D : NVE: supply voltage NVE (not present)
00DEC4 : NVE: K-CAN Line fault (not present)
00DEC7 : NVE: K-CAN communication Fault (Not present)
i tried to install the activator/sniffer after i read the codes, but the previous problem (NVE and NVK both red) came back
Is the problem coming from the Activator/Sniffer ?

That's progress. It shows that at least you have one wire making the connection (very likely CAN L) and the ECUs are responding properly.
From my perspective, your issue is in the CAN BUS wiring. Check each wire to and from the sniffer individually on a bench. Open the module and use a multimeter to check that each wire is making proper contact with the PCB. It can easily be a wire that is broken inside or cheap plug that is not making proper contact with the pins.
If the above checks out, try switching input and output of CAN BUS.
If it does not work, take the CAN from a different spot in the vehicle.
On your other concern that the NVK and NVE may not be from the same vehicle, you can easily check the VIN in INPA. If the VIN matches, it's from the same vehicle.

@CedBDP Thank you. I contacted the Activator/Sniffer manufacturer, they told me that they shipped an activator for an F series vehicle, and gave me instructions to modify the PCB to be compatible with an E series vehicle. (basically remove 1 resistor from the circuit board)
I'm planning to do that modification tonight, and then rewire everything and try it out. I'll update again tonight.
About the INPA VIN Reading, it never crossed my mind to check, even though i've done that before for other modules. Thank you for the tip!
I'll report back tonight.

Update:
Installed the modified activator/sniffer and im happy to say that i get NVE NVK green !!! I deleted the codes from. Yesterday and they never came back... one step in the right direction
now... when i press the button to activate the system, nothing happens... no image, no menu, no warning.... just nothing.... I even tried triggering the Night vision via ista, still nothing...
I'm doubting the connection at the back of the CIC. the X13814 connector... not sure which side is up (the night vision wiring diagram says pins 2, i chose yellow wire "shielding" and pin 4, I chose black wire "signal"...
you can see in the image below. But is it possible that I have the connector the wrong side up?

I tried to flip the pins... nothing changed. Still no image, no night vision menu...
not sure what to check next. But ill revirw the wiring of the night vision to make sure that all pins are matching the wiring diagram.
I used ista to find the temperature of the camera, and voltage, and lense heater, and everything was working fine... but no image... i used a shielded 2 core wire to get the connection from the camera to the module... and a shielded 1 core to go from the module to the CIC.
any suggestions are welcomed. I'm planning to review the wiring tonight.

Wiring seems to be ok all around the night vision system. Next on the menu is the following:
When I replaced the light switch, I ordered the one with HUD and night vision and rear fog light buttons (euro spec)... all of which I didn't have (but I plan to do them after the night vision retrofit is completed).
with that being said. I plan to wore the rear fog light wire from the light switch to the Light module.
and then rewrite the night vision feature to the CAS and LMA, and reset a few module that may be impacted (namely, LMA, and possibly another module or two). Then try to actuate the night vision system and see if anything changes....
I plan to do that over the weekend.
In the meantime, any suggestions or guidance are welcomed...
I'll report back over the weekend.

Removed $611 from VO/FA. Then FA_WRITE the CAS & LMA. Then SG_CODEIREN CAS LMA KGM FLA RLS.
Then added $611 to VO/FA. Then FA_WRITE the CAS & LMA. Then SG_CODEIREN CAS LMA KGM FLA RLS.
Now, when I press the night vision button, I get a the Night vision screen in the Center Screen, but it's a black screen (i.e no image).
Ill be doing more wiring review tonight... but there is a questionable pin numbering on the back of the CIC (as mentioned in my earlier post)
Can anyone who did a Night vision retrofit, TV, or CIC reteofit, confirm the pin numbers for video in from NiVi to connector X13814 (Car Information Conputer N38b).
I'm confused as to what pins to use. The wiring diagram says pins 2 and 4 on the back of X13814, but if I was to follow the pin numbers on the big connector, pins 2 and 4 are for big wires (as shown below)
the wiring diagram points to X13814 (highlighted above in blue) as a 12 pin connector (which is a subsection of the big CIC connector.
my current wiring is using pins 2 and 4 from the X13814 (12pin subsection connector), which translates to Pin 18 8and 20 in the big connector (the numbers that are written on the plastic housing of the connector
Any suggestions or help is appreciated. As you can see, im not very electrically inclined..

@sannouni (didn't see your messages until no) I am struggling myself to find the proper FBAS input for NBT EVO. It seems that the enbt adapter provided by BimmerRetrofit is using the NVC connection, so I can't use that. I tried enabling the TV function and multiple pins again as set forth in diagrams on ISTA, to no avail. All I see on the screen is "TV is starting". Perhaps, more coding is required. Info is so hard to find and looks like there are many codes that are undisclosed/secret. So, thinking of using a manual switch instead because this has become a timepit.
If you don't have an adapter, it should be fairly straight forward for you in ISTA.
