superhung, your mechanic is motivated. there is no way in hell, any garage here would take this on. They would say it's not BMW, therefore

I will be installing these on my own - hope everyone involved will support each other.

He's the coolest guy and he's also a BMW Master Mechanic with a specialty in electrical components. I'm sure he can do this with very minimal instructions, but he's also a stickler about getting it done the correct way as he doesn't want to mess up my car down the road. In other words, he wants to do things right the first time around and avoid any problems.

rj, it's his personal mechanic. Do you ever bother to read? I swear if I didn't know any better, you are sleepyca31 (or at least his twin brother). Haha.

Damn Pat, your car seems like it's always in the shop! What kind of beater car you drive?

Yeah I read the post. Did you read it? superhung makes plenty of references to him as his personal mechanic. And unless you know something I don't, dealerships don't install non-OEM parts. I don't mean to give you such a hard time rj, but read before you post!

It looks like my package is arriving today, so we'll see how the install goes with mine, if I can get it over to my shop by today and snap pics and take some video. If not, Monday morning.

02:09 PM
Damn...My mechanic looks like he's on vacation until 7/10 so I won't be able to get it installed until then. Hope there is a video or some kind of step-by-step of the install for these by then (DRL too).

Umnitza, I dropped my car off to my mechanic to install the Angel Eyes...He asked specifically if you guys can provide a simple schematics diagram for the DRL's?

11:59 AM
Cool...I'm going to ask my mechanic about that. Without the DRL hook-up, this thing is a freakin' breeze to install. It's just the matter of unplugging a bulb and connecting the wires to the correct connectors....But with the DRL's, I guess it's supposedly 'easy', but there aren't any step-by-step instructions, schematic, diagrams, etc. which would really help! *cough*umnitza chime-in*cough*

Thanks umnitza! I'll be patiently waiting for those instructions to relay them to my mechanic. Hopefully you'll have them done by today.

Maybe youre right knightcom! Thats why Superhung stated that when he went to drop his car off there were plenty of cars there. And i'm sure whomever this guy is, he is a BMW master mechanic that works on his own, maybe this guy owns his own shop, in any case if superhungs mechanic is diligent in working on his car perhaps he can work on my car as well.
