My Ride: 2008 Silverstone II E60 M5 2012 E70 AW X5 50i Sport w/ LCI Aero Kit and Rocker Panels
This is the DIY guide of how I did mine. Yes, I pulled my lights completely out, but it made it SOOO much easier to get a good angle on the bulbs and pull them out. It also made it much easier to put the new AIB's back in, as you need some leverage to get them in tight and snug. Unless you have really tiny hands and can get a good angle from the backside, I suggest going this route instead. Once you do the first side, the second side is easy. One thing though...HAVE PATIENCE when it comes to getting the lights out.

Let me give you a quick synopsis without pictures on what to do.
1) unscrew all 4 screws on the headlight - 1 behind the high beam, one behind the low beam, 2 on top of the cross beam.
2) unscrew the high beam cap
3) lift the light up and out a little, then twist it at a different angel (not X or Y axis, but more like a Z axis turn/twist)
4) The light will pop out pretty easily and then you can unscrew the old, put in the new, match up the ground/power wires (brown/black & grey/red)
That's it.

Ok I figured out the round plastic cover on the rear of headlight, removed it, this is what I see...
coolguy is easier than what you think, i would recommend removing the cover of the radiator thats the long black cover on top of the radiator with torx screws , just remember that the two side torx screws are different size so keep those separate. Then there are 2 small bolts that secure the lighting housing in the back, look around you will find them. once you remove those you are almost there, you will have to pry the lens out, you already removed the back round cover, if you want to remove the DRL light, twist and remove it , this will help you get the angel eye bulb with a better angle. From your pic you will see the bronze looking light bulb with a tab, in the housing you will see a slot if you can twist that tab to the slot position and pry just a little you just unlocked the light.
hope this makes sense

It looks like my package is arriving today, so we'll see how the install goes with mine, if I can get it over to my shop by today and snap pics and take some video. If not, Monday morning.
