Add Capital Eurocars Tallahassee, FL. I was their first, and it was successful. The issues I had w/ the bass resolved itself.

FYI for all you recent E60 purchasers - I took my '06 530i in for an aux install and both the SA and back-counter parts guys were surprised to discover that BMW has changed the part for 2006 and it is not yet available for installaion. Hmmm, another waiting list...

Cheers, Jon.

Got the Aux Input installed at Irvine BMW today. Took way longer than expected (5 hours, though they only charged me for 2). The software install kept crashing. Spent the time at the Spectrum (saw Batman Begins). They finally got it working. I'm running my iPod through a Monster Cable InCarCharger that has line out. Sound is great! I'm getting my XM Commander installed tomorrow that also has audio out, so that should also be awesome. One caution. They did forget to reinitialize my Active Steering, so the steering wheel is not level when driving straight. They're taking care of that on Monday (they felt really bad about it). Eric was the SA, and he was great!

Seems as though they are on the high side as evidenced by several of your Californian brethern. Do u have a competing BMW dealer in the area that u can try as well? If not at least let these guys know it should be around $200. You can also buy the part directly from Pacific BMW and then have ur (or another) dealer install.

Gracias amigo for the input. It does seem somewhat exorbitant based on other s here. I'll update once I get my car.

Why don't you print the installation instructions and show it to the dealer:
5_series_aux_input.pdf
