I was driving the other day and got a transmission malfunction error on the dash. I noticed it stayed in 3rd gear and wouldn’t go to 1st nor the manual shifting was working. I thought it was a lack of fluid since about a year ago the same thing happened and it turned out to be I had a small crack in transmission oil filter. (I drive it in Mexico a lot and the roads suck) so I took it in to my mechanic for a check. Turns out the transmission needs major work. I decided to not rebuild it and just went to junk yard and bought another one with 3 month warranty. $750 for a replacement and 300 in labor. See what happens
