I need help... During the spring I would start up by 525i 2004 and the engine would shake, the idling would be jumping up and down around 1000 rpm's. Eventually one morning it did the same thing but the car turned off, when I started it up the check engine light came on. Took it to the mechanic they did a tune up (new spark plugs, coils, oil change). The problem didn't go away completely it still had a little bit of the engine shaking but it wasn't so bad. Now the problem came back again, on cold start ups the engine shakes and it sounds like it doesn't want to turn over. It shuts off by itself and then when I try to start it up again the engine shakes for about 10-15 seconds and then its fine. This only happens on cold start ups? Please HELP!!!

 

@b1zzy , check for vacuum leaks.

 

Any codes? If so what are they? That will certainly put you in the right direction. HPFP? Vacuum leaks.
