My Ride: Gone Waiting
Hi World most intelligent Forum
This morning i took my car to the office as usual and everything is just fine.
Now from office back home , when i start the car it does start and then (on idle mode gear still on P) the car start trembling. I start to accelerator to see if it will go ok , the engine has not switch off but the car engine is like running on 2 or 3 cylinder. Then i switch off and restart and everyting is fine.
Anyone experience this before?
Thanks

Yes I have experienced this. But not in my E60, I experienced it on my old E39. But just as in your case, a restart was all it needed.

It happened once on my E60 and never returned.
What was the cause of it?

Hi Iceman ,
What was the cause of it?
What was the cause of it?
Maybe my car wanted to tell me something...

Happened the other night for the first time. Had a bit of rough idle during start up and didn't think anything of it. Was soon on the freeway on ramp when the increased emissions/service engine lights come on. These warnings have showed up before so again, I didn't think much of it.
Once on the freeway though, the lack of power was evident. When downshifting to 3rd or 4th, there was no pull. Even keeping a steady 80mph in 6th seemed to be a bit troublesome. Once I got home, I turned off the car then quickly restarted and everything was fine. I took a few laps around the block and everything was good. The only thing that worries me is that I drove about 40-50 miles while the engine wasn't in good running condition.
