I sold mine because I want ECU map from Dinan. Will do it next 2 month.
Fred, I'm probably going for an ECU remap as well and most tuning company's stated to me, when asked, that the remap also adjusts the sensitivity of the throttle response.

"it becomes more sensitive, but lag is not completely eliminated - we don't want this"
- Spintbooster completely eliminates the delay in the throttle and I'm not sure I want this. The lag is built in to give a few milliseconds to the other electronic components to feed the ECU with sensor data and make appropriate calculations.
I'm not saying it's not healthy to completely eliminate the lag, just my opinion as to why there is a delay from the beginning.

..any thoughts on this guys ?

for the V8:
700rpm is correct with A/C on.
500rpm without A/C.
That right I asked BMW HK dealer and they say 700rpm with cool engine and hot will be about 500rpm to 600rpm.

For me I was able to get used to the less delay time , and happy to say going in parking lots is no trouble. Its like a clutch you just have to find the area where you can move at a slow smooth pace without jerky movement. Easy to install and yes it works fine with Auto .

I will drive freed0m's car in the next couple of weeks, and I'll make a decision then. He has Dinan sw, so it's good to find out if lag is almost eliminate.
The only minor thing that might be annoyed is too sentive when in first gear. Wife snap my neck twice . But when in other gears, it's what I expect it is to be - throttle response is like an Accord
I wish I can buy back my Sprintbooster from Mr. Joe.
JOE, YOU WANT A REFUND... IT"S NOT TOO LATE*. I'm yelling
*Offer expired by midnight this weekend.

NY550, I'm trying to get a count together of those interested in getting the SB and working with slkfans to get a price of $250 shipped. Can you commit to one?

What kind of affect will it have on gas consumption? Will SB increase or decrease fuel economy?

Actually I get better gas mileage, not by much but it's noticeable. used to it ~21 mpg, now I get ~22mpg, this is with a 525i manual.
