Ed,
To be on the safe side, if I were you I'd take off the SB. I didn't have time to remove the SB before taking my car to the dealership for servicing. I informed my SA that I had a mod that made the throttle super sensitive. Fortunately, my SA who works primary on M and modded cars, didn't really care too much.

Well, yeah. They couldn't pin point where the whine was coming from. Instead, they blamed my AFE CAI and RDSport cat-back exhaust with resonators deleted as the cause. It was a BS excuse. I had mentioned it to them that the whine can be heard BEFORE I did all my engine mods.
Something sounds out of normal is sometimes hard to be localized. I brought my car in for knocking/pinging noise when under light load and they cannot localize it. My dealer has sent questions to BMW NA in NJ, and hopefully, they can get answer today. This noise sounds like a diesel when AC on, in D and stepping on brake
It does not happen constantly, but periodically like every 5 seconds.

Good to see that Nerweezy picked up one and enjoying it. I'm still going back and forth with slkfans on the group buy. He's pretty slow to respond and I'm about to give up and just buy one for myself.

Try Parts Exporter Store on eBay slightly higher price but shipped very quick and where I got mine from within 3 days, I waited almost 4 weeks (w/ many un-answered email) from slkfans.com then he refunded my money at the end w/ no-stock reason.

Thanks BlaSTiWi. I've been corresponding with slkfans for over a month now and that guy is sooo slow to reply. He agreed on a group buy for $250 shipped and the last thing he was going to do was check inventory but haven't heard back from him and it's been over a week.
I might just order from that eBay store unless anyone else has another source to recommend.
