w/o SB, AC on will make car idle high. Try w/ SB w/ AC on to see how it goes. Never notice, but it's worth a try. Thanks to Katheikia for pointing out.
Joe,
Try it this afternoon to see how it goes.

My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front.
Planned mods: Style 71 wheels with Toyo Proxy 4 tires, Sachs suspension upgrade, upgraded stereo, and many more to come.
I don't think my idle is any higher with my SB, but I pretty much leave my AC on all the time.
about premature wear of clutch, i do have to be a little careful during 1st gear shift, it could rev up a little faster than the stock so it may wear out the clutch a little bit more. but than without the SB, i occassionally stall because i don't rev it high enough...
so to recap, don't think it will really affect the clutch with the 'auto version' on my manual, but i can't imagine having the manual version if it's even more sensitive.
kathekia, thanks again for selling me the SB =P
Fred, why did you sell yours?

To clarify what I am trying to say is that I never expierienced high idle with SB, its just that the manual version SB is very, very sensitive, and doesnt give adequete time for the clutch to disengage.

I checked my idle just a few minutes ago. At the stop light I was at 700 rpm. So, is 700 rpm considered high?

700rpm is correct with A/C on.
500rpm without A/C.
