my bro has an m3 and it has the comfort/sport/sport+ settings, and he says its essentially a factory sb. he said if sport+ was too slow for his liking he would try one, its not!
I sat in an e90 m3 once, the power band is above 6k rpm. I dont think sb will be of any real use.

I think SB is not really about speed, it is more about ease of access to that speed. Its really just a prop to most drivers. But with a manual transmission, I'm definitely feeling benefits.

Actually the words "Sprint" and "Booster" adds 3HP gains that everyone with the SB installed are experiencing..
based on the technical data, its does absolutely nothing except help you press the gas.

Ignorance is bliss.
Really, dickhead?? Me, Krozi and about 70% of the rest of the E60 Forum are ignorant for our endorsement of the SB??

I'll copy myself from another thread:

By applying this same reasoning, short-throw shifters are of no value either. The person should "just reach farther," right? Neither are shorter, lighter trigger pulls on a firearm. One should "just pull harder," correct?

I don't believe everything I read, but prefer when possible to try it myself. I would hazard to guess that the majority of naysayers have never tried the SB. But, if they indeed do believe everything they read, then I suppose they will take your comments above as the truth as well.
