That's a M5 steering wheel. I am pretty sure the wiring can be found in this thread or on the E60 forum.

Hey guys,
I have the new parts for full retrofit, shifter, sports button, paddle wheel. Nothing is installed as yet. Its a bit cold out.
I was able to flash EGS with with $2TB file and re-coded the VO in both CAS & LMA. Car starts and drives and as expected, the dash now shows S1-5 in place of DS.
Reading on this thread and others I also went to FA_Write the new VO onto the EGS & KOMBI, however, FA_Write is NOT an option on for these modules.
I pulled the coding file on both. I have no issues with running the car in 'sport" or "manual" yet without the paddles installed and the EGS is already coded for Paddles: Wert_00 which I will change later once the new wheel is installed.
Just curous as to how and why a new VO needed to be written to KOMBI & EGS and also what coding options are additionally required.
One feature that I would love to see work is the active bolsters. I have a friend with SAT from the factory and his bolsters are "Active" during cornering. Amazing the functionality of these cars, even at their age.
Any and all help appreciated. This thread has done soo much for others, myself included.

KOMBI and EGS only needs to be default coded once the VO has been changed to 2TB in the CAS and LMA modules.

Default code as in use NON Manipulation profile, read CAS, process KOMBI/EGS, sg-Codieren?
I've not done a default code before. I read a while back this is the method.

Twist leads of 3 resistors together at one end.
- You have to cut green/wite wire connected to the pin 6 at the the suitable place and solder 330R resistor into the circuit (twisted leads oriented as on photo).
- Cut green/black wire from the connector (pin 4 will be no longer used), shorten wire at appropriate lenght and solder the second end of the 1k5 resistor to the wire.
- Remove small piece of insulation from brown/black wire connected to the pin 3 (GND) and solder the second lead of 3k3 resistor to it.
Before soldering don't forget to push insulation heat shrink tube onto all joints.

Suitable place is in this location.

Now you have working paddles
(If you have coded it and installed wires to e-box).

Does anybody have the pictures on this or a description how to do this?
I have a E60 535D LCI with SAT and the sport pedals (on each side up/down, 4 wires) and i want to put the M5 paddles on (left down and right up, 3 wires). I read something with adding tree resistors, but does anybody have a instruction how to do this exactly?

Hey guys,
its been a long time since I "upgraded" my Shifter and the steering wheel. I also did the wiring and today also added 2TB to the VO. Since my car is a 530xd I need to flash my EGS with a "suitable" firmware from the 530d, which has all the same except it can be "officialy" bought with 2TB. Could someone point me to which vesion I need to flash to my EGS?
Thanks a lot,
Timiboy

[/ CITA]
Hello, could you tell me what number you used in WinKFP to flash the EGS ????
I have 525D lci 2008 and I cannot find the correct number, I have tried several and they all give me error.
I thank you for explaining how you managed to do it.
