Default Roughly how expensive is M5 Mirrors With Dim & Fold

Hi

Just wondering if someone could give me some help. How much would it cost to get M5 mirrors but as my car has autofold and autodim i need mirrors with this function?

Are they worth the money?

Cheers

You will need to pay more because you are after RHD M5 mirrors which are very rare. The vast majority sold everywhere are LHD.

I had a set for sale but its just been spoken for. Haven't received payment yet but it'll be gone soon.

What's the difference lhd/rhd? Is just the glass?

Infact there is no difference in the glasses themselves. Its the frame that is different. Look at the original M5 mirrors carefully, you will see that both arms of the mirrors are different lengths. The driver's side is shorter. This makes all the difference between LHD and RHD.

ok Bruce I never noticed that but your right, Now you say the glass is the same, I recently got a set of euro glass but i noticed that drivers side although provides the wider view It has a depth difference.

i.e I look in the drivers mirror to change lanes looks good plenty of room, but when i double check via rearview mirror the cars is a lot closer. i assumed i had rhd mirrors and it was some objects appear closer stuff.. your thoughts?

Look at realoem, the glasses are the same for LHD or RHD cars. Its the angle that the glass is held at that makes the difference in the depth. Most people wonder why RHD M5 mirrors are so expensive, its because they are so rare.

having said that I just finished another post Sep 2005 mirror conversion to fit a pre Sep 2005 car yesterday. Lets hope the new owner is as pleased as I was doing the conversion.
