Does BMW offer a remote starter? If they do not, has anyone had one installed? Thanks
Letting your car sit idle even for a few minutes isn't good for the car... That is probably why you don't see most higher end cars with remote starters... they care about their cars. Lets Cavalier/G6 drivers get the remote start and trash their engines.

Do you have any facts or user's experience to back that up? I have never heard of that in my life. Most people warm up their car in the cold morning to get the oil warmed up.
I have been around mechanics my whole life, and time and time again that is what they tell me. Start the car and go. When you go, wait to get on it when the temp gage is in the "warm" position. There is no damage in starting and going... the whole warm up thing is a wives tale...
