Is that including the price of the V1? There is no need for it to be that expensive, you're looking at $399 for a V1 (if you don't have one) and $350 to have your mirror modified, a little more if you want a color display instead of red. Even with a mirror added in it shouldn' get to $1200.

Yes, sorry if that wasn't clear. That's what my buddy paid with his 997 TT. Pretty labor intensive job. If you can get it for cheaper and done locally, even better.

I've done a couple of 997's, they're actually easier than BMW mirrors. The Porsche OEM auto-dimming mirror will not etch though so it has to be manual dimming.

If I can get someone to do my mirror for $350, I'd pay that. That's not bad at all.

Which "features" does your mirror have?

Manual/Auto Dimming
HomeLink
Compass

Are you happy with the display in red or do you want it color?

Haha, yeah, Tim is pretty intense with his mods. The one thing that I keep telling him that I am surprised he hasn't done is a body kit.

I'm very interested in this too.

I have homelink and auto dimming. How much would it be to add the V1 into this? whats the turn around time?

$350 in red, $400 with the full color mod. Usually takes 1-2 weeks, can load you a mirror inbetween times if needed.
