My Ride: '04 545I
SPORTS SUPENSION
DINAN CAI
DINAN STAGE 2
WISH LIST:
RPI SCOOPS
BODY KIT
NEW FEET (RIMS)
I installed my IPod kit and had the software activated. In strolling through idrive, it only displays the first 500 songs, nor does it give me the option to shuffle songs. Is this how its supposed to be?

unfortunately yes.
i had 10,000 songs on my ipod, i just deleted about 3000 to give myself a better range. i can now get all the way through R on the artists list.
you have to get creative. CD2 = Artist, CD3 = Album, CD4 = Genre.
i think when i had 10000 songs, i could only get through artists L

You just need to make better use of playlists.
Also, try clicking on a song while playing. You should get a "random" option.

On the plus side, the retrofit kit supports podcasts properly - something the new 6Fl option does not do.
