question whether or not this car has auto leveling when you have passengers in the back or cargo so that it keeps it handling the same. with a load the car sags a lot in the back decrease the performance. my 2001 530i had it. please let me know.

Brian, I wish I had the answer for you. I am too curious about this feature. I think I'll call my dealer or BMWNA to find out.

I do not think this is available yet. IIRC the new 5 touring will have this as an option so I expected it will become available for the sedan too in the near future?

I don't recall seeing anything about this feature. I know that the E39 never had it. Having owned 2 E39's in the past 6 years only one time did I feel that I needed anything like rear leveling.

As a matter of fact, I've got the split folding rear seats and have loaded the car to capacity many times without problem.

The one time I did need it? I had both the trunk maxed and flipped down back seats loaded almost to the ceiling with cases of soft drinks. I mean loaded! There wasn't an inch from the B-pillar to the rear bumper available for anything else. During that time, I never bottomed out at all but the highway drive was a bit squirrelly.
